OC Kickboxing entered its first ever, Kids MMA team into the Camp Pendleton Pankration tournament. After a long training camp of nearly six weeks, a total of twenty five kids participated in the event. The vast majority of these kids had never competed before.

  

The team had a total of six students place in their divisions, despite the last minute news that all of our girls would have to fight against boys due to a lack of girls in the brackets. Nine year old Luis Ramirez took home a gold medal after two matches, both ending in wins via arm bar submission.

  

A great time was had by all who fought and a great deal of experience was gained as well. With out a doubt from the beginning of the training camp to the end of the tournament, every student improved dramatically in their overall skill. The competition team looks forward to the next Pankration tournament as well as the Kids World Jiu-Jitsu tournament as our next events.
