Greg Parker Wins a Belt at the Quake in the Cage 5

4/23/2011

In Round 1, Lee started with a right low kick. Parker took the kick and returned a right cross and a left hook and went for the clinch. Akkim tried to force Parker against the cage but Parker reversed him, pushing Lee against the cage where Parker quickly took Lee down with a double leg tackle and ground and pounded him for the rest of the round.

In Round 2, Parker came out punching. Akkim again went for the right low kick which Parker caught and cut-kicked Lee down to the ground where he ground and pounded Lee from the guard, eventually passed the guard and continued to ground and pound him.

In Round 3, Parker came out with great boxing and dirty boxing skills early on landing some uppercuts from the one hand neck clinch and some stiff jabs. Lee attempted a kick and a spin kick but Parker evaded and quickly took Lee down once again. Parker ground and pounded Lee from the guard, passed one leg, trapped an arm with his knee and rained down punches from the top, almost getting referee stoppage. Parker stood up and started kicking Lee’s legs as Lee tried to kick from the canvas until the final bell.

Way to bring it Greg!

Yoko Godzilla Hamamura Wins

"Godzilla" Grounds and Pounds his way to a First Round TKO!

Friday, November 12th 2010

OC Kickboxing and MMA’s own Yoko “Godzilla” Hamamura took part in the new promotion ZAR MMA FIGHT NIGHT in Layton, Utah. This was Yoko’s second professional bout. The card packed in eleven fights. Five of those fights featured UFC veterans.

This was Yoko’s first time fighting in the welterweight division (170 lbs.) as he normally fights in the middleweight division (185 lbs.) Yoko’s opponent was Daniel Ruiz (2-0), fighting locally out of Utah.

The fight began with Ruiz throwing punches and attempting a double leg tackle. Yoko responded with a deep under hook to stop the attempt. Ruiz had Yoko pressed against the cage but Yoko was able to reverse the position and deliver some knees directly to Ruiz’s head. After some effective dirty boxing against the cage wall the fight made its way back to the center of the cage. Ruiz tried once again to find the double leg. Yoko was able to sprawl and spin to his opponents back to execute some heavy handed ground and pound with Ruiz turtled up beneath him.

The fight came to end via referee stoppage seconds before the bell, giving Yoko the victory by way of TKO. Go Go Godzilla!
